Two random movie questions I had.

    1) Has anyone seen Run Lola Run? What did you think of it? I watched the Borne Identity the other day and remembered that the gal in that was the star of RLR. Never seen RLR, but friends say it's great.

    2) Kurosawa - are there any gurus here? I saw Seven Samurai and Hidden Fortress as a kid, I'm pretty sure, but I forget them. What's his best work? Any best DVD version or helpful tidbit like that. I'm determined to watch one of his flicks again.

    1) RLR was kewl, loved the soundtrack, movie was a'ight.

    2) Akira Kurosawa movies all rock. Seven Samurai is my favorite.

Most of his movies are out in Criterion Collection versions on DVD, most with widescreen kickass versions and much improved transfers. Check Amazon.com, there are some good reviews of all of his stuff there, lets you know which versions of which movies are good to have. The bundles are generally not as good as the separates, you might get the screwy transfer versions or squished screen versions... I think there is on bundle (the essential kurosawa or something) that is the only way to get the good version of one movie though... just check the reviews.
