    Yeah, but that's from the internet, not from someone standing outside your house trying to hook in over the wireless frequencies.

    Well, like I said, my original Intel Anypoint has been working like a charm. The only wires is the 3ft USB cable that connects this little white thingy to a USB port. No reduction in internet speed and the PC downstairs can print on my printer upstairs - been working great... with Win 98 and now XP.

    I think, too, that right now you can only achieve a 10Mb/s connection on wireless. That's OK for cable modem, 'cause that what's coming in on your cable line. I transfer files between PC's and servers, so I prefer my 100Mb/s switch that's built-in to my router/firewall.

    One day I hope to have stuff all over the house running on a network, too, Sandy. When the kids get old enough.
