I'm convinced it was political as they were the only west coast team even close

Which teams in the RPI top 10 actually won their conference tournament?

Unless you are an Okie State fan, it's really not that hard to figure out.....

With wins against Utah, Oklahoma, Alabama, NC State, Stanford (twice) , UCLA, Arizona (twice). Of five losses, four were to tournament teams (two of which gopt three seeds) Losses to UCLA, Arizona, Stanford and Gonzaga. Only loss to non-tournament team at Oregon State (which beat UCLA twice and Stanford once)

By finishing 10-2 and winning their conference tournament.

An argument for other teams (Lousiville, i.e.) being more deserving of the top seed in the west could be made, but I don't see why people think Washington is an outrageous choice. Suspect at best (worst?)

I could see Wake getting a top seed even losing in the Quarterfinals of their conference tournament. I agree with Washington being a completely political choice. I could see Pittsburgh knocking them out in the second round

I couldn't. And if I were a teammate of Paul's I'd hit him to remind him.

I thought for sure it was gonna be Kansas. I would have been content with OK State too. But Washington?

I am sure it did not help WF that if they got the last top seed, it would have been 3 ACC teams and 3 from the state of NC with #1 seeds.
