He made an All Star team with Atlanta, it was on tonight's SportsCenter.

He's also the last playing member of the original Dream Team. Here's hoping he gets a well-deserved ring this year, even if it as a member of the Heat.

Pretty impressive to stay in the league as long as Laettner has without ever (well, save for one half season) being a good/great player. Role players often don't have careers as long as Laettner's has been, kudos Christian.

Well deserved? Then you follow it up with him not even being a good player? I guess it's a good thing they don't just hand out those rings. :xyzthumbs

Yeah you know, kind of like the rings that Scott Williams didn't deserve?

I said he wasn't a good/great player. He made an all star team. He has played in the league for 13 years. He's clearly a good player.

Of course Scott Williams deserves his rings. Because he played on teams that won Titles. The only time a person "deserves" ANY thing that one works to achieve, is when you actually achieve it.

Does Laetner deserve to be called a moderately good player throughout his modest career? Sure, why not, I reckon he kinda achieved that. But he, NOR anyone else for that matter, deserves a ring until he wins one.

Name some Carolina players that have NOT won a ring.
