Roy Williams

    I'm not watching the game just the highlights, but He looks to be having a big game, anybody think he changes his mind and comes out?:D :D :D :D :cool:

    His stock has probably dropped low enough with a couple of disappointing late games and the potential bad hammy that he probably won’t go before Charlie and Andre anyway, especially if Johnson destroys Oh St like he should. I was just initially hoping that a team like Houston or Zona might pick Williams and that would push someone better down to us.

    TFY says of Williams:
    "He disappears for stretches, not always on the same page as his quarterback and does not display great concentration"

    If that's the case and that hammy becomes chronic we already have an older version of this guy . . . why would we risk spending a #9 pick on Moose #2?!

    BTW - I didn't see much of the game today. I know he got the TD on that reverse but did Roy do anything else that is making me look like an idiot for for the above comments? ;)

    Relax Wp. I wasn't questioning you, just making a general statement for anyone who thinks we should take Roy over Rogers Johnson or Woods. IMO he is only the 4th best NFL prospect.

    1 run 39 yards TD

    Didn't see the game either they just kept showing highlights of him during the Mich/Fla game.

    :dunce: Uhhhh Yup. I just found his stats and was trying to figure out a way to try and justify my “brilliant” assessment of Roy Williams. Hmmmmm? How ‘bout I just say, unfortunately I already DID lose my day job . . . surprised?

    I would imagine that the attention and adulation after today might cause Roy to reconsider. As long as docs at the combine determine his hammys and everything else is good to go I would now like to pretend I didn’t say he’s not worth a #9. If Woods doesn’t come out and Rogers is taken and A J has an equivalent game to Roy's then he would make a logical pick. How's that for conditional backslidin'?
