NCAA | Williams Decides To Stay At Texas - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
8:04 PT: ESPNews reports University of Texas WR Roy Williams plans to remain in school instead of foregoing his remaining years of eligibility to enter the NFL Draft.

    That hurts us some.

    ************.

  3. This means we have the chance to hold Roy to less than 40 yards like we did Ricky when I believe he was a senior!!!

that coupled with McGahee saying he's staying and Manning probably not coming out certainly screws things up. We may end up taking Goss the tackle out of Utah in the first.

That wouldn't be bad but, I would prefer taking a player at one of the "skill"position players on offense.

Williams and MaGahee may change their mind after all the rah rah of the season has wore off.

The problem is that if we stay where we are now in the draft (somewhere between 9-11) the value on the skill players gets severely skewed without those three there. Johnson may be there at WR and he may not be. Ragone, to me anyway, would be a reach there (I'd say he goes around pick 15-20). McGahee not being there bumps up Larry Johnson in the RB rankings and he may be gone (though I doubt it) before our pick.

Every one is blaming Ragone's lackluster play on a lack of talent around him. Hello, WTF do we have? A drunk RB who may not be back, a one hit wonder in Brown, and a gimp in Foster. Moose who has the dropsies still, Smith who'd be no more than a 3rd anywhere else, and Byrd who can't stay healty lately. Walls who seems to be getting nicked every week, Mangum who can't seem to get open, and Wiggins who might not be back. Ain't a good picture is it?

I don't like the idea of reaching on a QB or WR in the first. Our other big hole is OT, Goss fits the bill. He's big, mean, and nasty. Just what the OL needs. Bookend him with Steussie and whoever our QB ends up being could breath a little easier.

fuck offensive tackle. I don't know why there's such an eagerness to put a number one draft pick into an average lineman when we have this many explosive needs.

Roy wasn't one of the top two receivers, but having him out there suggested we could still get him or Williams. Now Williams will certainly go before us. Guess Manning's decision will be a big one for our future. And of course while all this is happening we'd have to start fucking losing again.

OK then who do you pick? Assuming the following occurs :

    Bengals-Palmer
    -----
    Detroit-Rodgers
    -----
    Bears-Leftwich
    -----
    Seattle-Johnson
    -----
    Arizona-Ragone

    Just projecting skill players here
