yeah, they pad their resumes in ACC competition and then go out with a whimper in the tournament. whatever helps you sleep at night, I guess. ask JJ Redick what all the accolades did for him at the end of the day. I think he averaged about 10 points on 13 percent shooting in the final games of each of his four years.

Rudy Gay really helped your argument the past couple of days. Totally disappeared yesterday with about 5 min left, threw what should have been the game-losing pass a couple of days before that.

Good job though, you really know your basketball. Rudy Gay is only ahead of his teammates Williams and Boone because of preseason hype (and some stolen laptops). He's only on the Wooden list because of preseason hype. YOU ONLY KNOW HIS NAME BECAUSE OF PRESEASON HYPE.

Did we watch the same game? I thought Gay had a very good game.

you're wrong again, and all the CAPS in the world ain't gonna change it. this whole thing started with your ridiculous statement that Rudy Gay's hype is greater than his ability. Now I know that you're nothing more than a garden variety Duke fan with no ties to the school who jumped on the bandwagon after a couple titles had been won. You're type is a dime a dozen. And you have this unhealthy obsession with Connecticut because they made you cry a couple times by beating Duke when it really counted. Maybe now you can start hating on LSU. That should make you feel better.

BTW, if you're gonna name a couple UConn players as example of how Gay was hyped up, Boone probably shouldn't be included. If anyone "disappeared" for the Huskie in this tournament, it was him, and he actually regressed this year from last. This really shows that you don't know a whole lot about hoops. Not that this is a contest or anything. I just felt compelled to point out your stupidity.

Didn't Redick average more points per game this year than ANY player in the ACC over the past 30 years. That in itself is unbelievable, and Gay had a good game yesterday, it was Boone and Armstrong that sucked it up. That and their defense.

Wrong again chief. I've been pulling for Duke longer than you've been an asshole. Like since before Duke used to be able to beat UConn. But since you come in here slinging shit, and unable to back up your argument with stats when pointed out wrong, go ahead and keep with the personal attacks.

Actually, Boone didn't have a great tournament and has been regressing, strange. I was really high on him as a freshman, but not nearly as high on him two years later. And Gay did have one of his better games yesterday in the tourney. Doesn't stop the fact that he did nothing but shoot an airball in the last ten minutes of his team's most important game. It really doesn't matter in this discussion as it's a regular season award, I'm just not impressed with Gay in any way. I'm sure he'll be a fine pro, doesn't make him one of the top four players in college basketball this year.

In that case why is Reddick first team? His choking even more clearly caused his team to lose?
