Roy gets an extention

Roy has made a habit of losing to inferior teams.....when it actually counts. Check out his historic seeding vs early NCAA exits.

 

Let's see it. Provide K's for a nice comparison too.

Fact is that most of the time both of these guys are going to go out as the higher seed, even if its a one losing to a two like happened in the Georgetown game.

 

K has made the tourney 23 times and the final 4 10 times 43.4% final 2 7 times 30.4% and won 3 times for an incredible 13%

Roy has made the tourney 18 times and the final 4 5 times 27.7% final 2 3 times 16.6% and won 1 times 5%

Roy 38.8%

Oh yeah, K also has the highest NCAA winning % of all active coaches and the most all time NCAA tournament wins.

 

Right, but I want to see the raw data. Especially to see how many times K lost to a number 2 seed in a regional final. You know, cause that would be a good indication of his inferiornessedness.

Seems pretty even to me. Both have an 8 and a 6, so let's cancel those out (even though Roy actually won games with them). That leave us with:

So Roy has gone out early one additional time. But the 2 loses as a 1 seed are pretty bad. Didn't they lose a lynchpin during one of those years though?
