This game reminds me of the Miami/OSu game with all the talent on the O.

If it keeps up Vince Young will be the 1st pick and David Carr will be unemployed.

Assuming he comes out. If he continues to play this well and they win why would he stay?

Texas' pass protection has been incredible. And while Young has amazing elusiveness and a decent arm, it would be a mistake for a team to take him early in the first round. NFL defenses will eat him up unless he improves his reads and accuracy.

    For the obligatory cheerleaders post:
Is it me or do the Song Girls look a little thick in the thighs for SoCal females?

And chaps do nothing for me, but one of ABC's cameramen found the money shot midway through the second quarter when getting behind the Texas girls. Those short shorts under those chaps are something else.

Don't most college QB's need to work on this for the next level?

Young needs it more than most. Because of the simplistic nature of Texas' routes package, I just haven't seen him need to make pro-style throws, much less demonstrate he can make them. He's still very raw as a passer in my opinion, much moreso than your usual potential first round pick.

I honestly haven't seen him play but once this year other than this game. So far he has looked a lot better than the other QB on the field (forgot his name) :imagestor

I could see a team take him fairly early and I think that would be good as long as they don't want him to start right away.

    Leinart looks fine right now.
Young's efficient, and he's gotten off some good throws, but teams worry about his running first. He could be a good enough passer in time, I guess, but he's not in Leinart's league, and he's not making Leinart's throws. That's part of why USC's over 50% on 3rd down and UT is 1-5 and 0-1 on 4th. The short-throwing guys is a big problem, too. Young will hit guys in stride sometimes, but seems like he has trouble judging a route if the guy's not already in the route, and ends up throwing to the guy's feet.

And Byrd. Good lord, that guy's a truck. If they didn't already have 2 good WR and a RB better than most WR, Byrd could be featured in that offense, even for as big a bastard as he is.
