Announced at Yankee stadium that he'll be pitching for the Yankees this year.

Good old Roger. How much money did he get this time for part of a season?

Will the Red Sox fans finally disown Roger like they do the other players that leave for the Yankees? Or do they still hold out hope that he will pitch for them again? Or at the very least wear some type of Boston hat or jersey for the Hall of Fame induction?

I've always thought he was a money-whoring jackass. Great pitcher however.

Where would he pitch in the Boston rotation? Maybe if Lester isn't as good coming off cancer treatment Rodger could slide into the 5th spot in the rotation but that's it.

He will be the ace for the yankees so it wasn't a tough decision. He will most likely be average at best.

He is no Dice K that's for sure.

I don't know how much Clemens has left. Then again, I guess you can say the same thing about Smoltz and Schilling. None of the three have the same pop on their fastball as they once did but they are still pretty damn good. A long season has to weigh on you more and more the older you get. Clemens had some leg issues in Houston. Time will tell.

Pisses me off that the best Yankee pitcher will be average. They shoulda known better in the offseason.

$28 million. Not bad for part time work.

Yes I heard. Isn't that absurd? I heard it's prorated but it's still a lot. How does that work anyway? Did his salary kick in last night? If so, he probably got a couple hundred thousand for saying "hey yall" to the Bronx.

How many pitches will he be able to throw at age 45? I'm guessing he will average about 5 innings per outing. That bullpen is already a mess.

How much will Santana get when he signs a new contract? I can't begin to imagine.

I heard it broken down today. He's going to get about 18 million to pitch this year. It will also cost the Yankess another 7 million in luxury tax.

Smoltz is 5 years younger than Clemens. He's old as dirt but he would be at or near the top of the Red Sox rotation. Something just bugs the crap out of me when he only plays half a season and doesn't travel with the team. Maddux has as almost as many wins and he is far more humble and a team guy. Clemens is in it for the money. After the 1999 season getting a ring became secondary to Clemens, or it appears that way. He's roided up as can be anyway. Jason Grimsley says so at least.
