Don't know if his type of program is the right fit, either.

Doesn't seem to make a lot of sense on the surface of it, no. Mallett does not seem like a good fit for that style.

To get out of West Vagina and go to the weak Big 10 is a slam dunk. Rodriquez took the Alabama job last year then decided to stay in Morgantown because he knew he had a shot at winning the national champiosnhip this year. Michigan is still fertile recruiting turf and the job is still an elite job. I would have been shocked if he didn't take the job in Ann Arbor.

He's from West Virginia, he played there, he's made it a legitimate power, he's making great money, and there will be far less pressure. This looks like one of those decisions he'll come to regret.

He'll have a load of talent to start with...but I don't know that many guys will fit his system?
Good hire for Michigan, they see how the spread worked for Illinois and are moving in that direction with one of the best spread coaches. Michigan did loose a few good recruits though.

he'll be coaching the lions in three years, then be fired two years later, then be the first-ever coach at UNC-Chapel Hill, Charlotte Branch
