    Former 49er arrested after gunfire

    Rodney White, a forward with the Denver Nuggets last season, was arrested in Washington early Sunday after a Secret Service agent said he saw the basketball player and his friends firing guns in the air.

    White, 24, and two friends were arrested about 5 a.m. at 24th Street and Connecticut Avenue near the National Zoo, said Secret Service spokesman Tom Mazur.

    An agent reported he spotted someone firing in the air from a car driving along Rock Creek Parkway. The car was stopped, and weapons were found inside, Mazur said.

    White is a free agent after spending the past two seasons with the Nuggets.

    A 6-foot-9 forward, he was a first-round pick, ninth overall, in the 2001 NBA draft by Detroit after he played one season at Charlotte. -- DENVER POST

    hootie, Demon's prints probably could be found on the weapon. :rolleyes:

    And math, don't expect heckler for a day or two, he's recovering from the post-game celebration in the victory over powerhouse Baylor.

    No defending Rodney and his posse, just not a smart move for a free agent player. And another blemish on the NBA, could someone tell me how many players HAVEN'T been arrested?
