Rogers was a great player at Wake and really good NBA player too. By all accounts he is a great person. I have never heard a negative comment about him or his character. Prayers for Rodney..

I really hate reading this. He was one of the really good guys in college and in the pros. He was a heck of a basketball player too. I hope the other NBA'ers do the same thing he did and sock their money away since you never know when something really crappy like this could happen. Wish Rodney the best!

What really hurt me about the story (besides a guy I really liked watching play get paralyzed) was how they talked about his truck-driving job now and how 'no job was too small.'

Sounds like a high character person, hopefully he can find a way to turn this tragedy into a positive. If anyone can it sounds like it might be Rodney Rogers. One hell of a competitor, I wish him the best. Hopefully this doesn't turn even more sour like the Derrick Thomas situation :(
