Yesterday was "a" win, the team needs to see if they can build on it. The 800 pound gorilla is off their backs for the time being.
Peete probably remains the starter, barring injury, until the bye week.

The offense really didn't do anything after the first drive for the TD. Peete had 62 out of his 136 yards on that drive. They threw only when necessary afterwards. An encouraging sign was that we had four gains of over 10 yards in Peete's 12 completions. We attempted to stretch the field a little which is better than the 3 yards in a dump to the fullback which was the main staple last year. Zero turnovers is a trend I hope to see continue, a few from our defense wouldn't hurt either.

It seems as if the playbook was simplified with the exception of the two trick plays using primarily sweeps. It does worry me that our biggest gains were on those plays though. Not much run after the catch yardage at all. We can't expect to win putting up 10 points a game every time out. Expand the playbook a little each week to keep the opponents off balance and get our scoring up into the low to mid 20's and the defense should give us a chance.
