Sweet Suzie is no more...damn, I thought she was going to make it all the way as strong as she had been the last few weeks.

However, I have noticed an aweful lot of love for JD lately. Makes me think the band is looking for someone like Hutchins afterall...similar sound and style. Plus, JD has also proven to be skilled as a writter and in arrainging music which is HUGE. I can already hear Pretty Vegas on an INXS cut...it will probably be thier next single.
Even though he is an arrogant fuck, I think he's going to be the one.

I am inclined to think the same about JD. And it is not a strech for them to try and remain in thier comfort zone. They have a quite large catalog of music from thier past that people will want to hear in much the same way they always have. JD gives them that. And perhaps Mig does as well. I think the band may be rooting for Mig being an Aussie and all. But they think JD has the chops to be the rocker. If Mig can get some edge in the next 7 days, he may land the job.

If Mig wins, I'll PUKE! He should have been gone long ago. He just doesn't have the range.

On the same vein, close your eyes and JD sounds like Elvis doing covers. Not saying I dislike him, he would be a fine choice. But truly the one with the most consistent voice left the building last night.

Marty, I like him and is a very good songwriter and musician. But going back to the first show when Suzie commented that he could potentially lose his voice (I forgot the context) it would appear she may be on to something. His last 3 performances have shown signs of vocal breakdown at the end. He is a fan favorite, but this potential weakness combined with the bands obvious fear that he wants to have INXS revitalize the grunge scene means he will never lead the band. I thought going into last night that if Marty made the bottom 3, he would have been gone before Suzie.

And by the way, I realized last night that in 7 days she will be missed

    Nice pic, thanks!

Although JD is arrogant as hell, and he does lapse into the "Elvis" thing (like he did bigtime last nite on "By My Side") I think he's the best. I agree that Marty seems to have vocal breakdown and when he does he tends to scream, which the band has already said they don't like.

Migs sucks. I don't think he did well on his INXS song. I think the only reason he didn't get the boot was because, as I've thought all along, a woman fronting the band just wouldn't work, so they voted off Suzie in a close vote.

Finally, major props to the cameraman or director that kept showing those shots of Brookes ass in those jeans!! I kept looking down there from the shots from the rear and the front and kept thinking how warm it must be in there....

I told my wife Suzzie was gonzo. The margin for error is very small and Suzie made a couple mistakes on Tuesday. Not sure that was the deciding factor or not, but when they cut to the band during her performance they sure looked serious and not into the music. At this point I think it will be JD, but Mig has a chance. Mig did a great job with their song last night and that certainly didnt hurt his shot, they also seem to like Mig more than JD. In the end, it's business and I think JD will help them make more money using his writing skills, Mig doesnt seem to be strong in that area. I would say there is zero chance that Marty gets the gig. He would be happy to have the job, but I really don't think he would fit and or be happy long term. I would say that all four of the final four were deserving of being there and all have a bright future with the right group.

Agreed, I thought he was the front runner a few weeks ago, but he has just lost it with his voice now. He broke down with his vocals several times the past two weeks.

This is JD's gig to lose. I don't care for him in a lot of ways, but has great range, pure sound and can do a great job on all of their old songs.

Just speculating, but Navarro has made some statements during the show. Things like what he said to Jordis, "You and I WILL be doing some work together in the near future".
I'd bet part of the deal with him agreeing to do the show is that he gets producing rights to those who don't make it. There's money to be made with that group. Jordis, Suzie, Ty, Brandon (?)...all very marketable as would any of the final three.
