Rock Band and Guitar Hero....I don't get it

So The Who were playing real instruments.....what a novel idea.

I play guitar and I guess the appeal of pushing colored buttons and flipping a switch back and forth are lost on me. More power to you guys who love it, I just get nothing out of it.

 

If you can't understand the difference between a videogame and a real musical instrument I don't know what to tell you.

I've been playing guitar for 13 years, but unfortunately I don't know how to play but about 8-10 songs on Rock Band. Sometimes it's fun to transform myself into a rock god and it's fun to play with friends who have no musical aptitude.

It's basically a more interactive version of karaoke, nothing more.

It's just a videogame, there are plenty I don't like.
