Yeah, I've noticed most commentators/online forums think we let go of a great coach but they didn't see some of the week in week out stupidity - the Abusive favorite of taking a time out to berate the ref about calls for no reason is a good example. In a few years the skins will be better but you can be sure fans will see some of the same bad habits that never got fixed here.

 

His first year he started 2-8 and finished 4-2. Five of those first 8 losses were by one score. He was a defensive-minded coach who's team couldn't stop anyone. His second year he started 3-9 before closing the season with four straight wins. I remember writing this in 2013 in an article where I basically said he wasn't very good:

Go figure the next year he wins 12 games. We had a TON of talent then, with Luke and Cam entering their primes. I think a lot of coaches would have had success there. I like Ron, but he's no longer my team's coach and I'm glad I no longer have to defend him.
