    Three years is an eternity in the NFL. Three years ago I gave our D-line the nickname 'Mount Flushmore'.

    Rex Ryan's extension is only one year guaranteed with team options for the next two years after that. So if they fire him during or after next season they're only on the hook for one additional season of payment.

    The Jets also went 8-8.


    They're just buying some time. That Dline is loaded with 1st round picks but the O needs some serious help. If Smith doesn't improve Rex probably goes with him.

    I like that we extended, Ron. I think he is maturing as a coach. The losses to Buffalo and Seattle were really close. The only game we looked out of place in was the Arizona game. We all know the shape this team was in when he came here. Although I don't expect another 12-4 season, I finally feel like we are moving in the right direction.

    Even the Arizona game was a very winnable contest into the fourth quarter. 12-6 going into the fourth quarter.

    We had the ball 4 times in the fourth quarter...

    INT
    Punt
    Fumble
    INT

    2 of those turnovers came on Arizona's side of the field. One of them on the 11 yard line.
