I do feel Chud offers more to this team than Rivera does right now.
But he has had his own issues so far this year. I honestly wouldnt like to see him as the HC right now but instead find someone that would retain him but at the same time be able to reign him in a little. Rivera seems to be letting him do what he wants right now.

I thought he was somewhat reigned in last week. Called a much better game but I hate that stand next to the RB for a second while figuring out if you're gonna hand it off or keep it play. WTF is that achieving?

In theory it allows you to leave one defender unblocked because that defender has to decide whether to go after the HB or the QB.

    Some things work, theoretically.

It does work, but I agree that he uses it too much.

    It's called the veer option.

the handoff takes too long. I don't know if that's intentional or not but it's awkward looking.

I mean, I like it in theory - it was out there way too much in game 1 but it can work if you do it 6-7 times instead of 15+. But it's like Cam doesn't choose whether to keep it in the RB's grasp or not soon enough, so they're running together with the ball for a full count.

I like the idea of blocking everybody but the backside DT - smarter, less attackable than going outside after the playside DE - but you have to read it fast and be decisive.

Hell remember that one play in the falcon game the tv dweebs pointed out it looked like deangelo had to strip cam of the ball on a handoff. I wonder if cam was going to freelance or just a painfully slow developing handoff

The Skins did this for an entire half against the Saints.

Folks spent the entire next week making fun of them for it because RG3 almost got killed. Czaban almost had a stroke.

Of course, maybe Cam will survive because Cam is a bit taller.
