I read something interesting about Jason Garrett and Rivera. 5 coaches have had their current position longer than the two coaches mentioned above. They all won the super bowl. Both Rivera and Garrett had opportunities and not delivered.

When did Garrett have an opportunity?

If opportunity equals being employed as a NFL head coach, then yeah. I guess.

I figure opportunity is anytime you reach the playoffs cause your team can get hot and go the distance. So garrett had 3 tries.

Garrett had the #1 seed in 2016, in one of the NFC's weakest playoff fields over the last decade, and he couldn't do anything with it. That was their opportunity.

Tomlin's the very rare exception of a coach I'd trade future first rounders for. It's baffling that some folks up there still want to get rid of him. There must be mercury in their drinking water.

However, all of this is probably just more bloviating by Tepper. He likes the media hailing him as being "different" and "progressive". Ultimately I expect us to end up with an old, white GM and a generic head coach.

I also don't believe Tepper's approach meshes with Tomlin's approach, and it seems likely to me that Tepper was one of the idiots trying to force Tomlin out.
