    Depends on how you define success/failure since a guy like andy reid built a good team and it fell apart on him and has built a fresh contender in KC. Even fox sort of fits the criteria

    Mularkey is a no go for me personally.

    And if we're being intellectually honest about Belichick, he'd probably be Wade Phillips had the Pats not stumbled ass backwards into the greatest QB in NFL history.

    I remember looking up pre draft stuff from 2001 he seemed like a dead man walking to a few mock drafters.

    I think they probably would have had a few decent seasons had Bledsoe not gotten hurt. Belichick would have gotten one more HC job somewhere before finally settling in as an elite DC.

    People are already groaning about Jim Caldwell getting an interview with the Packers. People want the dashing young prince with a laminated play sheet. Guiding one of the league's worst franchises to three winning seasons out of four doesn't matter.
