Couldn't agree more. He doesn't have the psyche to be "the guy". He's only going to work as a #2 back, out of the limelight. Plus, he wouldn't fit into this team's chemistry at all, nor would he be happy in Charlotte's culture. I just don't see any way it would work out well for anyone involved.

I'd also be sure he WANTED to come here. I think if he was traded someplace he wasn't happy to be, he'd lose his love for the game all over again. And I'd have the coaches meet with him at length to be sure they can get along. I'd have to feel pretty confident that he'd fit in emotionally aside from football skills.

I agree entirely, but I never said that a team in their right mind would. I'm simply pointing out that he was Miami's most effective running back last season, they have him at a bargain basement price, and it's difficult to imagine Saban giving up that chip without getting something substantial in return. That said, a lot of teams out of their right minds make deals that they regret later (re: Sean Gilbert), so just because it's obvious that they shouldn't doesn't mean that they won't.

Yeah, might want to look elsewhere now. For some reason, I find this too damn funny - maybe it's because of everyone sucking on Nick Saban's cock for being such a "disciplinarian", and then this happens.

Can't change some people. You just can't. It's the same thing with the Terrell Owens argument. Whoever lands TO will get a great player...and a major pain in the ass who could singlehandedly ruin one's season.
