If you were Marty Hurney and the Dolphins called right now to offer Ricky Williams straight up for a fourth round pick, would you do it?
    I say yes.Low risk,high reward.

No doubt. No downside to that trade unless there are salary cap issues.

His contract would have to be redone first, but hell yes, I'd take Ricky in a heartbeat for a fourth!

    No way. No how.

People will say he isn't being a head case now. He wasn't showing any signs the first time he bolted either. His sudden retirement came completely out of left field, and I've seen nothing to indicate that couldn't happen again.

His big complaint was essentially that he was working too hard, getting too many carries. He hasn't had that complaint this season because he wasn't the workhorse. Put him in our system, and that bugaboo comes right back.

So you wouldn't gamble a 4th round pick on a player who has Pro Bowl talent, but has had some troubles in the past, but says he's over it and readyto play ball??

Won't happen anyway. Miami has him at a reasonable price and it's hard to believe they'd give that up without getting at least a first in return.

I try not to argue with you anymore, but there is no team in their right mind that woudl give a 1st for him.....he is worth at most a 3rd at this point considering all his baggage and age....29-30 gives him maybe 3 more years...but with his record I'd say 2-3....

funny thing is I went to the Dolphins site and couldn't find him listed on the Roster.

Hypotheticaly, Initialy I would say sure to a 4th, but then there is the probability that Ricky will expect a better contract from whatever team trades for him.

On a side note....Riddel that might be the most disturbing Avatar on the forum right now.:thud:
