Yankees have always sucked ass. It just used to be that they were good at baseball.

Everyone knows it's true. I mean c'mon, they're like "this has been a great rivalry for decades" and then they show the Bucky Dent highlight and then the Aaron Boone highlight and nothing in between. the rivalry is more between the fans and the Red Sox fans hate the Yankees a lot more than the Yankees fans hate the Red Sox. Last year is one of the only years that the Red Sox have made the World Series in the past 80 years, and beating the Yankees. If Duke or UNC had only made the national championship or the Final Four games 2 times in the past 80 years then you would question how well they were also.

    apparently not.

The Candiens-Maple Leafs is arguably the greatest rivalry in hockey. the Canadiens dominance over the Leafs and the success (read: champioinships) the Habs have enjoyed over the decades is similar to what's happened in the Yankees-Sox rivalry.

I guess it all depends on what your definition of rivalry is.

then again, there are those who think Duke-UNC is the only rivalry that's ever existed. was duke-UNC much of a rivalry before Coack K took over the program?

rivalries don't have anything to do with how good either team is

Yeah, but it doesn't have anything to do with the Boston-New York 'rivalry'.

egg zachary. it's more regional than anything. cards-cubbies. probably the best rivalry in the NL. not even close to being equal in record and accomplishment.

Yeah, right. Only those losers in Boston think it's a rivalry. New Yorkers think it's just a nuisance.
