well, huntley was an off-field problem waiting to happen, from what i understand. word may have gotten back to fox -- or it may have been given to him.

anyway, this maked it REAL interesting.

    how about this, guys...

trading down almost becomes a necessity now to get the impact players this team needs at the holes it has created.

peppers is enough of a talent to make somebody crazy with stud-lust that they'll trade up -- i think that peppers having a fantastic workout tuesday will be the key though. he's the only drool guy out there (after the texanss take their qb). somebody will want him. it'll get hot and heavy the week before the draft.

trading down makes great sense -- and take a running back with pick no. 1. pick no. 2 can go for a corner. pick no. 3 goes for d-line and pick no. 4 is the best guy that slips.

This is freaking stupid. Whether he is an off-field problem or he was a cancer in the locker room. I feel he had more value than Goings and you keep someone until you are at your wits end.

he should have stuck until the end of camp IMO. There are other players that could have been cut if you need roster space.

Huntley is a very valid #2 and could have competed for the #1 slot. Damn Fox.... 1st bad move IMO.

Larry D, I somehow see us trading down also. Duckett would seem to be the target in the 1st, maybe we pick up a defensive starter in the trade along with a mid round pick,

Trading down to where though? I just see it as kind of strange to just dump a fairly good RB when the position was somewhat weak to begin with.

trade down to 10 with the Bengals pick up their 3rd and Tikeo Spikes or (and it will not happen) trade to New Orleans (for their two first rounders 13 & 25). Trading down with the Raiders is out of the question 21 & 23 may not cost as much, but we'll probably miss out on the top two RB's.

No way... that's the STUPIDEST move possible!!!! Why trade down for a backup to Smith???? Fox has already called him the starter... we'd be retarded to trade down to pick up a guy to be a backup when we have the potential for 2 starters with our first and second picks... all I can hope is that Fox sees something in Montgomery to make him the #2 guy... and that he'll still pick up 1-DE, 2-CB, 3-DT and hold out to next year to pick up the next feature back in the draft.

I would have waited till after the draft, and see who we get. This tips our hand.

    Well, Cleveland.

    JJ's not a starter.

I wouldn't put RB that big a need for the Ravens considering their other troubles. Lewis has had a fair amout of time to get healthy.
