Look at the last few college coaches who were successful, flamed out in the NFL, and went back to college. Saban, Kelly, Harbaugh (but he was good in SF), Petrino, Spurrier, etc... The odds are pretty good that Rhule will do well in Nebraska, so it's worth an eight year gamble.

He really sucked here, but I hope he does well in Nebraska.

He hasn't gone back to college yet.

harbaugh made a super bowl, hes a perfectly good nfl coach that lost a power struggle to a kiss ass gm. petrino and Spurrier didn't come close to their previous success. Sometimes you lose the mojo for good. Probably after a generation of future recruits watches you get assfucked in prime time.

Matt Rhule's NCAA win percentage is .551.

Bill Callahan's win percentage at Nebraska was .522.

I never want to see Matt Rhule lumped into any comparison with Jim Harbaugh ever again. You can't name ten football coaches on the planet with a better resume than Jim Harbaugh.

Harbaugh's done an amazing job at Michigan. They just spanked Ohio State at Ohio State.

He did it with the lesser team with the much lesser quarterback, which is kind of insane. I watched that entire game and Michigan just outsmarted and outmuscled Ohio State. They had a converted WR playing nickelback and shutting down that part of the field.

I do have to stop for a second and admire Rhule's ability to self promote. As I've been saying all along, this guy will end up being the wealthiest coach in the history of the MAC conference in about five years. He'll get to stay at Ball State for the last twenty years of his career on the back of two massive payouts. The giant fish in a small pound.

    That's good living.
