Dude, sam and frodo did get it on, that's why they cut away for a second.

I guess when it is the end of the world, and they're alone together, hobbits turn to homosexuality.

I thought the movie was too long and sucked horribly. But it wasn't as bad as The Two Towers.

    Fellowship was great, though.

    Things that were cool:
    Shelob
Gandalf (especially with the Steward of Gondor)
    Gollum

    Things that sucked:
    Aragorn
    Faramir getting bitched over
    The 5 million endings
    Oh yeah, Aragorn.

    Spoiler

By The way, this is supposed to be the Return of the King....The king didn't really ever return. They cut those scenes to show something that wasn't even in the book (appendinxes don't count). I hated that fucking bullshit wedding, and everything that had to do with that fucking bullshit relationship. We don't get to see the shire on fire because Aragorn wants to get laid? Well, if he wasn't so gay, maybe he would have. And goddamn, we got the point, it took forever to light those fucking bundles of wood, but really, did anyone want to see it? I swear it looked like they filmed the same mountain 5 times from different angles.

If Pete Jackson wants to fuck up the story, he should at least make it shorter, not longer by adding in things.

I liked the stuff they added in. Except I've read those books a bunch of times and I don't remember Aragorn coming in with that Army of the Dead. Which chapter was that??

Anyway, I saw the movie today, and I liked it best out of all 3. I may go see it again next week.

Silver, how could you have read the books a bunch of times and not recalled Aragon walking the Paths of the Dead. Look in "The Last Debate" chapter of ROTK

You're right, I found it. But all it tells from skimming over it is Legolas recounting the story of it. When Aragorn showed up at the battlefield in the ships of the enemy, it doesn't mention the dead being with him and overrunning Saurons forces, it only mentions Aragorn being on the ships and coming in with "men leaping forth from the ships to the quays of the Harlond and sweeping forth like a storm" I guess this was implied in the book and acted out in the movie as the men being the dead. Weird. It's been a long time since I read the books, but from re-reading a couple of chapters, it seems they switched the chapters around a little or something.

Thanks for pointing out that chapter. Going back and reading some of the book reminds me how different the language is in the book. The really simplified a lot of the details in order to get people who haven't read the books to understand the story. I think I'm just gonna re-read the whole book again.

Hockeygirl and I saw it on Saturday. It was good, but I wouldn't say significantly better than the other two. Can't wait for the extended version DVD to come out. I wanna see that hour plus of film that hit the editing room floor.

Loved the movie. Only thing I didn't like was the behind the shots of Frodo and the dwarf. You could so tell it was a kid playing Frodo and a midget dude playing the dwarf which sounds reasonable but it didn't look right.
