wow. 3 1/2? I could never make 2 bags of sour patch kids last that long! that is one long movie. eel and i finally watched the Twin Towers this weekend. I thought that that movie was long, but it didn't matter since i was all comfy with my fave blanket and pillow. That's the way to watch a movie.

    Probably.

The books kept me from my family for a while. They are very engaging.

I read an article, TV Guide I think, that said he would like to do the Hobbit, but it's tied up with all kind of legal trouble. He said if that got worked out it could be very possible. He said it would be weird to have somebody else do it.

His next film is a remake of King Kong.

yeah, there are "extended versions" of both two movies on DVD. get those, not the regular ones. they're much better than the theatrical release, in my opinion.

Sweet. I'm bound to get Media Play GC's for Christmas. I usually rack up on that kind of stuff.

The extended versions have A LOT more in them. The 1st movie had about 30 minutes of additional footage and The Twin Towers had about 43 additional minutes. The added time is especially important in TT as it filled in some of the gaps.

If you want to own the movies, you absolutely HAVE to buy the extended versions.

I just saw Return of the King today, and all I can say is WOW. This has to be the most impressive movie I have ever seen. It thoroughly delivered on every level, and unlike many finales, had a very satisfying ending. The performances were all excellent, especially Sean Astin as Sam. For those who know the books, a couple of big scenes were cut, but will be on the extended version. Overall, this was just an unbelievable movie. I highly, highly recommend it.

He was on CNBC last night. He's come a long way from that movie with Lou Gossett, Jr. The one where he and some other kids are held hostage in some private school or something.
