    This Friday (9/26) there will be a trailer in front of the film Second Hand Lions. It will be online Monday. Rumor has it, it may show Shelob.

    I didn't realize till I was watching Fellowship that Gimili's father was with Bilbo during his journey in the Hobbit.

    The Silmarillion is the best source of information about early Middle-Earth. It begins with the creation of light - a fascinating read for the die hard Tolkien fan.

    IMO - Tolkien's Bible, literally. I would check it out sometime but beware, it is difficult to read (Old English).

    The Unfinnished Tales are another good source.

    A friend of mine gave me his copy of the Simillarion last week. I plan on reading it sometime, he mentioned it was a difficult read as well.
