One thing I'm noticing now - Peppers saw the double team on the 1st skins scoring drive. Every play I've seen.

    QUESTION

On the kickoff return that Bates wanted smith to touchback, since Smith bobbled it, would it have been a safety? Smith first touched it in front of the end zone.

    Might explain the stupid return.

yes I'm pretty certain it would have been a safety, though I haven't seen the tape yet. And yeah when I was watching peppers off the snap, I did see a lot of chipping and then a lot of doubleteaming. He might not have done anything, but he had a former pro-bowler out there and then a second man.

The only ones I didn;t see him doubled on were run plays to the other side.

    Jansen's better than Terry, though.

Smith looks old and worn out. Foster gives me wood.

Weinke looked better than I remember, as did out starting defense.

Yes, those two passes to Moose on way to that FG were very crisp and thrown right were they needed to be.

all of Weinke's balls that I've seen so far were on mark. You take your pick of the drops and add one to the total and he looks very much different...save for the Lamar Smith drop.

Yeah, I have seen him doubled in person and on tape so far and it's funny how I actually read some dumbass say "they didn't even bother doubleteaming him." I honestly don't understand why there are people out there that have that big an axe to grind with players on a team they act as if they like.

    Looking at second string action:
I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt but every time, it seemed, that RF ran except the QB draw, there was someone crashing backside or stunting inside. He's good on the run overall, want to eval him more when he's steady inside the pocket as well.

He did unload one ball I felt was ill-advised against some pressure where he couldn't get out of the pocket.

    Bright is badass.

If the first team O can take advantage of Foster by getting more consistent ball movement and can use the same focus on Foster that Washington gave, playaction will be a bastard.

Nice sack by Ford - Why does Spurworry always look worried? I think its funny. With his record over the years, you think a coach of his stature would show some confidence about himself....
