    Most flack that mods get is for deleting someone's precious posts. They might give you a hard time about splitting out the snipes, but if you're consistent, they'll know it's gonna happen. Screw 'em. You're the mod.

    And besides we haven't done a very good job of NOT sniping, which forced you to set a standard. You're not the one sniping, after all. You snipe, you pay a consequence.

    You could just lock it up and let it drop down the board. Then its not deleted and if there is any more discussion on the subject it can be done in a new thread following the new rules.
