I'm not saying that he is Bird by any means, a Chris Mullen at best in the pros and that's a stretch, but he is an unbelievable shooter who works real hard, and I don't know about the IQ thing, he managed to be able to sniff out that last play of the Duke-UNC game in Cameron pretty nicely

Unbelievable shooter? See, that's the part I don't get when people talk about him. Good to great shooter ok, but he isn't the next coming behind the 3pt line. He has several players in the ACC alone with a better % than Redick from 3pt range. Redick just takes a ton of shots, and that is more by a need, because Sheldon and Redick are the only real options dook has.

One stat that is interesting on ESPN is PPS=Points per shot. The higher the number the better productivity you have per shot. The PPS average includes 3pt%, 2pt% and even FT% which we do know Redick is great at.

    Redick is 1.50

on his own team Sheldon is 1.55 and Dockery at 1.55.

    Jarrett Jack 1.54
    Sean May 1.58
    Jawad Williams 1.51
    Marvin Williams 1.72
    Eric Williams 1.66
    Chris Paul 1.55

Its the nature of statistics the PPS will go down the more shots you take. Take dockery for example. He isn't asked to score much for Duke so just about every shot he takes is a wide open shot. Redick is asked to carry the scoring on his shoulders so he has to take a lot of shots. Plus, playing 40 minutes or more a game like he does you expect his % to go down toward the end of games. Redick also shoots a ton of FTs with the max you can get of 1 per shot on those that brings his # down.

Duke's career 3pt % leader is Laettner but if he took a 3 he was wide open at the top of the key. JJ has to take them from everywhere.

Then why doesn't every team have one?

I like Duke but I must say I think Redick can be a punk sometimes. He is my least favorite player.
