It's not about apologies. I don't want one. I'm showing you why I'm talking about posturing and why I don't like it. If the words say it or don't, that's fine, but to suggest irrational or incompetent arguments wasn't going to sit well with me. That's why it was an issue. Doesn't need a shake, drama, or any of that. I've come to be a little less harsh on henning because I've seen some amount of improvement in the decision-making. Hopefully you've come to see that this isn't an attack or a slot of blame that's fallen on Henning and a legit gripe of his abilities.

    >> have seen plenty of teams (and my guess is that all have) run a draw on second and 20.

Third. Second down is important as well (oddly enough I believe we have passed more on second down, and been more successful on second down as well) but third down is the last chance to keep the drive going. It's like this O expects to get it in two downs or not at all sometimes, which is counterproductive to being ball control.

    >>I think that's another thing that we will just never agree on. I'll take 3 wins all day long over looking pretty on offense and losing.

the outcome is important to the game. The playcalling is important to this discussion. I'll take an improvement in being creative and less deliberate, no matter how small it was, over being terribly boring and having our D bail us out. I'm tired of taking our defense for granted. If we fail because of talent, we can't control that. You don't stop play and go sign a receiver and pick it up tomorrow.

If you fail thanks to strategy, the next down, the next drive, the next game you adjust. You set (and change) the pace to suit your needs that game, that moment. We took 5 games to realize the run alone isn't working. If we're less conservative with Peete back, and actually move the ball some, I can deal with the philosophical issues I had with Dan Henning before he came here.
