    Pickled Beets and Eggs

    Get a few cans of sliced beets and empty beets and juice in a pan. Add a can and a half of cider vinegar, half a can of water, half a can of sugar and some peppercorns. Bring that to a boil and shut it off, refrigerate when cool. Add some sliced onion and hard boiled eggs for an excellent picnic item.
