Feel free to talk and even brag about recruiting. ACC schools, or whoever you follow. I find it interesting, but don't feel like keeping up with a ton of schools the way I keep up with draft prospects.

    Feb 2nd is right.

UNC had good news and bad news Wednesday - bad news they lost Everette Brown one of the best DEs in the nation to FSU. Lots of people thought he was coming to UNC.

Good news they signed Jordan Hemby one of the better DBs in the state.

    Win some lose some.

Everette Brown to F$U makes me sick. That is yet another NC recruit that leaves the state to play somewhere else. UNC-Ch and NC State need to step up the recruiting in this state. Neither one will be a top program until they can lock in the top talent in this area.
UNC-Ch did have a nice pick up in Jordan Hemby at DB, but I dont see him as being the impact player that Brown will probably be at F$U.

Well put! I know watching NC State recruiting very closely the last few years that we have had kids who gave us their verbal and then left for other schools (Albert Dukes, WR at Ohio State). We have also gotten commitments from guys who gave their verbal to another school (AJ Davis-UNC-Ch and Jimmie Sutton-Texas). Nothing is final til signing day.

til then all we have to go on is where these guys have verbally committed too. Right now UNC hasn't done too bad keeping it's share of in state players with 7 commits from the top 26 players in the state. With Baker, Nicholson,Hardesty and Hannah being four players in the Top Ten who still have UNC under consideration.

We've got Cox and Massaqoui coming  Our freshman class at Georgia next year will be really stacked and our sophomore running back tandem of Thomas Brown and Danny Ware will be on of the tops in the country. I can't wait for next season, but I am still uneasy with Shockley being at QB, and our backup will be Redshirt freshman Blake Barnes. If I were Cox i would redshirt. Massaqoui should play some. He will join former teammate Mario Raley in the wide receiving core, which has hardly any experience besides Sean Bailey. So Massaqoui should get some PT as a freshman

UT commitments......top ranked committments in orange.

Demonte Bolden DT - 6-5/300 NR Chatham, VA
Josh Briscoe WR 5.6 6-3/170 42 Lawndale, NC
Wes Brown DE 5.8 6-4/245 19 Athens, AL
LaMarcus Coker RB 6.0 5-10/184 2 Antioch, TN
Jeff Cottam TE 5.7 6-7/250 13 Germantown, TN
    Todd Cox WR/DB 5.8 6-2/195 15 Memphis, TN
Jonathan Crompton QB 6.0 6-3/211 2 Waynesville, NC * yet another top NC QB goes out of state......tisk tisk
Marsalous Johnson DB 5.6 5-8/185 33 Smyrna, TN
Ricardo Kemp ATH 5.5 5-11/175 59 Warren, AR
Andre Mathis LB 5.8 6-1/224 8 Erie, PA
Josh McNeil OL 5.9 6-4/290 1 Collins, MS
Demetrice Morley DB 6.0 6-0/176 3 Miami, FL
Malcolm Rawls OL 5.8 6-4/303 9 Memphis, TN
Austin Rogers WR 5.5 6-2/175 55 Nashville, TN
    Lucas Taylor DB/WR 5.8 5-10/168 17 Lafayette, LA
    Antonio Wardlow DB 5.6 6-1/185 30 Winston-Salem, NC

Bolden is by far the biggest fish. Another John Henderson. The kid is 300 right now and runs a 4.8 40. Lemming ranks Morley as the top corner. We could help here. I've never cared for UT's speedy smurf theory in the secondary. And luckly Ainge hasn't scared Crompton away.

We are still in the running for some big fish, but as is this class loks strong as is.
