It says quite a bit more than that, "Brain." It says that he's a one of those rare LeBron James-type megastars in the making, which is exactly what I said, and exactly what you chose to argue about. Don't you remember that we're arguing about whether or not Oden is significantly better than anyone else in the '06 class? Here, let me refresh your disfunctional memory:

THAT is what the argument is about, "Brain." And you haven't provided anything anywhere to suggest that Oden isn't far and away better than anyone else in the class.

I said "Aside from Oden, it seems like this year is a little down. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled to have gotten commitments from those guys, but I don't see anyone describing them as sure-fire NBA All-Stars. And for that reason, I still imagine that Ohio State is getting the better end of the deal. Oden is a freak, and far better than anyone else in the class."

Sadly you are incapable of actually winning the argument about Oden, which is in fact what we have been arguing about, so you want to argue something else entirely. The fact is that you haven't presented anything that suggests people think Wright or Durant or any of the others are considered "sure-fire NBA All-Stars." Did you present any links suggesting that and I just missed them? No, you didn't. Sure, the '06 graduating class is a hell of a lot better than the '05 graduating class. I never said otherwise, as the '05 class was one of the worst ever (and still got two high schoolers into the top 10 despite what was one of the stronger college classes we've had in a while).

And seriously, have you ever won an argument anywhere on TBR? Could you point me to a place where you have ever said something other people actually respected?

How sure fire of a prospect was Tim Duncan when he came out of high school?

Tim Duncan had only played basketball a handful of seasons prior to graduation, and I'm certainly not suggesting that no one besides Oden will be a future superstar. For all we know, Oden could still flop. My point is that Oden is considered far and away better than anyone else in this high school class, just as LeBron James was in his class.

And my point is that no one is a can't miss, no matter how much more talented they are than anyone else in their class.

    See Washburn, Chris.

Which is a fine point, but completely irrelevant to this discussion.

And I have to give you the Kwame Brown thing. As noted, he wasn't considered far and away better than the other guys, as there was all sorts of debate about who the Wizards should take, but it does appear that you're correct and I was definitely wrong about it being a surprise. More apparently did have Brown rated as the best prospect in that draft than any of the other players.

What class is O.J. Mayo in? I saw him play in Cincinnati this past year and he was literally jumping over people and dunking in their faces. He will be the next LeBron type player out of a class. He was absolutely amazing.
