OK time for a reality check

This is the way I see the ACC breaking down next year and why:

    1. Wake
Lose the best player in the conference but nothing else. Songalia, Gray, and Williams are a solid core to build around with a very good recruiting class which includes PAul.

    2. Duke
Lose Jones and Sanders but pickup the best high school player who will play college ball next year in Deng. Add another top 10 player in Humphries (although he is making noise about testing the NBA waters) to a core that will include Duhon, Horvath, Ewing, Reddick, and Willams and Duke will be at the top of the ACC again.

    3. NC State
Lose only Crawford but get their best all around player in Evtimov back. Hodge, Watkins, and Powell along with a good recruiting class.

    4. UNC
Nobody says they don't have talent. But they are only adding a recruit ranked in the 60's to this years squad. Will still suffer from a lack of depth in the post and at point and also from a possible lack of talent at coach. I'm sorry the return of Sean May alone isn't enough to get this team back in the top 3.

    Tie for 5th
    Georgia Tech
Bosh, Nelson, and Jack are enough to keep this team out of the cellar.

    Maryland
Lose 4 starters in Blake, Holden, Randle, and Nicholas. Overcame loses this year but don't see them doing it two years in a row. I mean does anyone really see Caner-Medley and Gilchrist leading this team into ACC contention?

    Florida State
Hamilton has this team headed in the right direction. Addition of Von Wafer makes them even more athletic.

    Virginia
Gillen is possibly gone this year. Definately next. Virginia should drop out of ACC and play all games at home.

    Clemson
Lose the only talent they have in Scott and Hobbs. Last place finish is last straw for Shyatt.

    Questions? Comments? Jeers?

You mean Danelius not Songalia (he graduated last year).

Anyway, I'll stick with State since that's the only team I know well. Yes they only lose Crawford and they will be deep next year. The only question is offense. Sherrill needs more touches. Melvin needs to play near the basket more and Hodge needs to be the only person handling the ball. State is bringing in a scrub from Florida in next year.

Yeah I get those foreign players mixed up. Sherrill has been showing glimpses of late of what he can do offensively. Will get more time and consistancy with Crawford gone.

I didn't expect Maryland to be as good as they have been. But I guess if you have a senior leadership backcourt...it gets the job done....Louisville has the same...
