Jamal Lewis is going to be fine. Why cut Adams though? Burnett I can see. No McCrary?

The short answer is 6 million in savings when your 19 million over.

Apparently McCrary may stay. Savings are minimal.

Maybe Adams doesn't end up fitting the 3-4?
Oh well. Just a lot to lose in one year...of the four of that decent DL, the most declined of the four stays. With Boulware, Lewis, and Hartwell, they're more than set for three of the four spots (unless they make Addy Thomas lose weight and put him right outside) at linebacker, but they're going to have to hustle for a nose.

    On McCrary and Starks....

The radio here this morning reported that Billick's current meetings with Grbac involve reworking his deal so that these two can be kept around. I'm guessing this is being reported by some talking head somewhere as well, but I have not read it yet. I had also assumed that MCcrary would be gone, but it looks like they will try and retain him.

IMHO - Although I am sure I am in the minority, I have NEVER thought much of Starks. Ever. Not when he was gettting torched while gambling on the corner in college at Miami and not when he did the same thing here in Balt. Teams figured out that if you can slow the front 7, you can burn Starks. I'd let him roll on out...

Turns out Adalius Thomas will in fact play OLB for them. Bravo.

I hear Trent is availible. Unfortunately for them, they could have tied him up last year for less than he will get this year.
