I was just thinking about all the talk surrounding the CB position this year and the offseason. No one has mentioned anything about Anderson's return. Should we look for him to return and grab a starting position?

Interesting I was thinking the saem thing. I doubt he'll start, but will provide good depth. He's reasonably cheap. It'd be nice if we didn't need to draft CB AGAIN.

I wouldn't count on Anderson ATP. He needs to get his life straightened out before he can help us. If he does make the turnaround - count us lucky but things look very bleak right now.

do you have any basis for that statement?

Yea, the guy is out of football on suspension for doing too many drugs. It will be hard for him to start a game this year for us when he is suspended.

I'd say Anderson having tested positive for drugs three times in two years is a pretty good basis.

I don't know what his salary is, but he was a mid-first rounder, wasn't he? I would think he's making at least what Cousin is, and probably more. If he does stick around, it's probably a safe bet he's in for some significant restructuring.

My money's on him being released as soon as his suspension's over though.

Anderson will make $533,750 next year, pretty cheap.

That IS cheap. He must've had Ricky Williams old agent... Finally, a contract works out in the team's favor for a change.

  10. that's his salary...what part of his signing bonus is pro-rated for next year? Usually cap numbers go up from year to year in contracts with the last year being the largest cap hit.
