True. But a lot of other QBs have been to the playoffs a lot. And they were in them cause of all those comebacks. I don't think Marino lead the phins to as many 4th Qtr come from behind victories. If he did, maybe he would have gotten to the playoffs a few more times.

Montana was the greatest ever. You had to see him play to know it. He had a presence that no other QB has had. The Chiefs would have made the superbowl if Montana had not got hurt against the Bills. I would say they had a fair chance of winning it too if they had made it.

Okay, I don't think in a million years that those two bitches compare to Montana. He was an awesome quarterback. One of the best of all time. As far as winning championships you have montana and bradshaw 4 super bowl titles each. As far as statistics marino. But I in my opinion I think that Elway was the best of all time. Sure he lost the first of three superbowls he played in but......... A defense and or a running game and the broncos would have had better chances.

And by the way. The one stat that Montana had that I think is heads above all the rest is.................

He N E V E R threw an interception in any of the 4 superbowls he played in. That is by far a tribute to his greatness!

Joe Cool was without a doubt one of the great QB's of all time. Tuff for me to say he was or wasn't the greatest ever. There have been some other greats and several that were awfully damn good. Its my opinion, your opinion. I don't think I could choose "the greatest ever" but if I had to Montana would get strong consideration.

What strikes your fancy? A guy that's a great leader like Stauback and Starr, a guy with charisma like Namath, a guy with smarts and coolness like Montana and Stabler, a guy with an awesome arm like Elway and Marino, an ultra competitive guy like Farve, a guy ya just love the hell out cuz ya do like Dan Pastorini, or a guy you'd rather not admit to cuz you hated him like Bradshaw and Theismann.

All these guys had a strong combination of most everything you would like to see in a QB. Mostly, all of them were leaders, showed enormous courage on the field and could win even when they didn't have the greatest teams on the planet and when the chips were down. It was obvious from the watching that they were great QBs. You didn't need articles or stats to prove or disprove that argument.

    >> [Warner would make] Moose look like a star (like he looked when Bline was here).

and if memeory serves me correct, i think he looked like crap in Bline's last year here. i'm gonna disagree with you in that imo the only person that will ever make Moose a star is Moose. i don't know what it is with him. i think if he's motivated he can play and you would think that a guy would give it his best at least when he steps on the field. and if his best sucked on the field then you'd think he would work his ass off between games to fix it. i dunno. maybe he just lacks talent. whatever the problem is, it is pretty damn frustrating and i'm getting pretty tired of waiting for him to show up.
