There's just too much speculation with Warner. I personally have no idea what the market is for a two time MVP, a year removed from the Super Bowl, who has suffered numerous injuries to his throwing hand. I personally would not let him go if I thought he might heal, cap be damned.

Unless you thought you could keep Bulger for MUCH MUCH less, and at the same time keep your other offensive weaponry in tact.

Not that I want Warner, though. But he's way better than Kordell.

Not me, but I'm not in the short memory crowd. A lot of people are. If its me, I take the proven guy, unless I don't think he can get physically right. So I keep the cheaper kid for what he is, a capable cheap backup. Bulger is small and has his own injury history. This might bite Martz in the ass.

    Warner or Kordell

If you had to pick, which one?
See latest thread. Kordell will be cut!
    IMHO Hurney/Fox will investigate both.

A healthy Warner, with his deepball accuaracy and velocity back, I'd take without question. If he's the guy throwing the ducks I saw last year, I'd sooner start Fasani. Bottom line, I'd make Warner throw before I pay him a dime.

What I was saying was that Warner isn't going to happen here IMO. Kordell would work as a "reasonable" possiblity.

Kordell can still play in the league too. Warner had every weapon you could ever want around him and florished in that wide open attack. Interestingly enough so have all the other QBs that have started there.

Kordell handled a team much closer to our type of team IMO and would be able to run this offense very quickly.

I would seriously rather have Kordell when you talk price (cap # and draft pick compesation) and instant reward. Kordell fits us better IMO.

I would love to have Kurt Warner. I don't know that we could afford him but if we could it would be a great thing. With our defense we would be in the playoffs for sure. Warner throws a great deep ball and would make Moose look like a star (like he looked when Bline was here). Steve Smith would become a deep threat over night. We would still need a good tailback. If Foster were to come back we would be legit.

Warner is a true QB who can make all the throws and is a good leader on and off the field. I can not think of a guy out there who is available that would be better than him. Krydell Stewart is not in his league.

Montana had a great career. He did however have talent around him in San Fran. He didn't have it in KC thats why they(KC) never won a Super Bowl. Making the playoffs is not good enough, in the end there is only one winner.

Although Warner would be great to see, I doubt it would happen in Carolina.

Thats my story and I'm sticking to it!

All Championship teams have talent other than QB.

The 81 team was one of the youngest of all the Super Bowl teams, and lacked the big time stars like Craig and Rice.
