Chris Hetherington has signed with the Rams. Warner better tie a pillow to his ass if he's expecting Hetherington to block for him.

Heath was a guy you did not mind having on the bench, you know come in as a back up... starter.... NOT.

I'm sure Chris is real upset having to leave the Panthers for a Super Bowl contender.

Look at the Rams offense, they really don't use the FB much as a blocker. Usually, as the safety valve in the flat or underneath after slipping a block...Heatherington is good and slipping blocks!
Plus, he's well known for his special teams efforts.

Chris may not be upset, your probably right... but I think the Rams will not be a Superbowl contender...

Also, I think he enjoyed having opportunities to touch the football... in St. L. he will be the lead blocker for the TBs

the Rams' D will be interesting once all these #1 picks have to start playing. Archuleta is not that great right now, he's athletic as possible but is kinda being ordered around out there and it's rare that people who have to be instructed every situation become playmakers. Polley will be, and so will Aeneas Williams, but that's it.

Lewis, as Piper noted, is still having injury problems. Allen's a loss already with the drafting of Thomas, who will be solid but at bst a two down player who was drafted as if an every down linebacker. He'll probably need to be protected and I don't know if a line that has Damione Lewis on it will ever be two gap.
They also really passed over some decent corners on the way to reaching for Travis Fisher, who IMO isn't even past Dre Bly.
Pickett showed why he shouldn't have been drafted in the first two rounds, much less the first.

I also don't know how they got out of the draft without a much-needed RT. Lamar Gordon was a good pick but come on, they have Marshall Faulk and Trung Canidate. Crouch I don't get at all either.

Heatherington won't be a consideration. They have Conwell and, who...??? I think they have Holcombe still, right? Heatherington's merely a special teams sign. They'd have done better with Bates, who is still a perplexing signing to me.

Yes he's known for his special teams efforts. Like missing blocks, getting big returns called back. Chris' efforts were certianly special.

Why more teams just don't run the ball and try ball control with the Rams is what I don't get. Everyone is afraid of thier offense.

Coming out throwing actually plays to their defensive strength. Little and Winstrom can get to the passer, and they have a great cornerback and pretty good safties that can take up a lot of the field and get to the ball.

    D. Lewis, I mentioned elsewhere, is having foot surgery again and may not be back, so that will negate some of their up the middle push.

Assumming they are injury free, they'll be contenders this year. Next year, that's when the other shoe drops, and cap king will want his due.

I say, they have a coach that did an OK job after another OK coach left...

Lets face it, Warner was the only reason the Rams ever did what they did... not Faulk... yea Faulk is great (See #34), but Warner put the skin where it "had" to be.

RAMS - out after their first playoff game...
