    If pete did bet against his team and lost the game, would'nt he have been paid?

    Yes but no one has yet to prove that he bet against his team. The fact of the matter is. His actions did not effect his playing days. Thats what you should judege the Hall of Fame on. I do think Palmeiro belongs in the Hall but noone should go before Pete Rose. Im sure Palmeiro want be the first or last person to go in the hall of fame that has used steroids.

    No sir, Baseball's Hall of Fame is reflective on any aspect pertaining to Major league baseball and other entities ie... The Negro Baseball League.
    If the Hall was judged totally on the players Peter Gammons would not be there this year.

    Peter Gammons is besides the point. That is the media aspect. On the baseball guys that go in, it should be based on baseball.

    HAHA, thats funny. That is baseball, but I am saying he should be in the Hall because of what he accomplished as a baseball player. All time Hits leader has to get you something.
