Where can I buy one of those shirts?

    That's great.

Honestly, I dont have a problem with guys like the Brain, and I didnt mean to slam him. It's the "shockers" of the world who completely annoy me. Get a grip on reality man.

Yeah that’s what most people think when they look at a program that generated some mind boggling streaks that will never be duplicated. Dean was a "pretty decent coach" who underachieved to the tune of two national championships and 879 wins and the list goes on.

Ol Jim Boeheim better hurry up and win another so he can join the list of "decent coaches".

What a dumass comment but totally expected from whineradvocate.

and HP if you would take your head out of your ass for just a second and read Noel's quote in context. He's talking about Williams and the fact that Carolina is still his dream job.

The truth is Roy started this shit 4 years ago when he left Dean and UNC hanging out to dry. Instead of UNC going after another good coach they started going through the family and ended up with Doherty - a decent coach who was way too green for the job. Given time and support he would have done okay - but he had no support from the establishment ( Dean included most likely ) and was doomed to fail.

Now with all that has transpired and the way it went down the UNC job is tainted. Williams is the only hope the Heels have now. I can't imagine any other top shelf coach walking into this job with all that has gone down. The talented team may sway them - but then again they have proven not to be loyal to the coach. The heels will look foolish if they run through the same list
of "family". Brown and Karl are the only two legitimate choices there because of their success and proven abilities. I guess they could go after Peterson - but I don't think he's ready for UNC yet.

As much as I hate Baddour - I have to believe that he orchestrated this whole thing ( or Dean did) because Williams said he was ready to come to Chapel Hill. If he never did or changes his mind again then Baddour and Smith deserve whatever crappy coach and degradation of the program that comes with it.

    Woss,

Why does Roy turning down UNC leave them hanging out to dry? And I think Buzz is more prepared that Doh ever was, but maybe you were against Doh originally.

I beg to differ wossa with the context, although I know shocker will not allow me to. I don't see that anywhere in this quote. Noel's quote: "I know it's a tough decision, because (Williams) has his own legacy at Kansas. It would be tough to leave that, but this is North Carolina."

Plain and simple, Noel said, "this is North Carolina."

I hope shocker will allow me to make a brief comment. Surely even you would agree that the problem lies squarely with Baddour. The entire athletic program has gone down since Swofford left. But Noel's comment to me says, UNC is better than Kansas, UCLA, Indiana, Kentucky, Duke, etc. At best, Williams is making a lateral move should he take the position.
