I guess Noel and others should stop watching ESPN then.

They spent as much time talking about the Carolina job last week as they did the Final Four.

I ain't lying I was SOOOOO thinking that myself and I'm a Tarheel fan... and HP you REALLY are making yourself look whiny about this... I ain't trying to be mean... its the impression your givin off about this whole thing... I'm not sure WHY it even "matters" that much to you... I could see if you were a Tarheel fan, but because you aren't you're showing yourself as solely an ABCer that has some type of "Tarheel Envy"

Brain, just explain to me and all the other ABCers then... why is UNC the best at everything? Why are they so far up on the pedestal about EVERYONE? They had a good run, things are leveling out. It's Carolina blue or nothing.

My obsession of why I'm being anti-UNC has been well-documented here and I stand by those reasons. Had you been in attendance at that Final Four game, I think you might have felt the same way. I'm willing to give credit WHEN it is due, but not because it simply has 'Tar Heels' written on it.

but how does it affect you one UNCC at all?? That's my point... it has NOTHING to do with your "team"... as far as the Final Four game I'm not sure what you're talking about... if you mean Bernstein's comments to him I'll agree that, that was flat aout shitty of her to do... but what do you mean other than that?

oh as far as leveling out... that will depend on the next coach... regardless who goes to UNC they will inherit a very good team... if its the RIGHT coach he'll take them to the next level and be able to keep them there with solid recruiting

Might have something to do with the constant shoving of crap like that down our throats by the local media, coworkers, sanctimonious fans, etc.

Tell me, do they create this stuff when they are sitting on that "thrown"?

For the record, I agree with HP. There are a couple of good young ballplayers up there (I'm unsure about their character), that with the right coach, should make the NCAAs (finally) next year. But this mystical tradition stuff ("this is Carolina") is pure crapola. They had a good run under a pretty decent coach who underachieved at times, but had a great deal of longevity & consistency. Now that he's gone, they have to earn it just like everyone else. They're entitled to absolutely squat and they have nothing more than what they have on the roster at the current moment. You'd think Deano would be the kind of guy to say that too, but it's starting not to sound like it.

Carolina's program is in bad shape. The inmates are running the assylum. If they land Williams they should feel lucky.

I don't give a shit one way or the other, but I hope he stays at Kansas if only because it will make it so much more entertaining.
