Yea - I did the swimming bit for a while, but running is more convenient for now. Plus, I want to nail it and get to a point where I'm enjoying it. I'm not sure when that point will happen though.

Thanks Wordsworth - I guess everyone goes through this initial 'uncomfortable' phase. Uugh!

I seem to be walking, more than running at the moment. I'm stepping up in the New Year though - :scooter:.

Yeah, the holidays are tough, I've been so slack and feel awful, but back on track today. Walk, run......

Yea, you're right. Work has come in and snatched my motivation, but I'm working on getting this into my routine. There's a park nearby my work, so I'm thinking of doing it at lunchtime. I don't care if I smell in the afternoon :cheesy:.

A pair of good sport shoes and friend who will join in while jogging - is the best start!

Thanks for the bump 3dfan ( :disappointed: ).

I had visions when I made this thread nine months ago, that I'd be on my second marathon...okay, not really.

    Well, I got the bra.

Then stalled, trying to download more music to my poxy MP3 player which is just a pain in the arse :cuss:.

But, I'm walking everyday at work (lunchtime for around 20 minutes). Walk, scurry, scurry, walk etc.

Today, I did this - http://www.vibra-train.com/ and I love it! I feel sore in the right places and have felt fantastic for the whole day. I also did some pilates and a good walk. I'm liking the mix. I don't think running and I are going to be the best of friends, but at least I'm doing something :cheesy:.
