Questions for UNC fans

Is the any coach that will be coaching in the NIT that you would trade Matt D for right now?

Would you trade any of your 3 frosh for Daniel Ewing?

 

If I had Ewing, I wouldn't trade him for all 3 UNC frosh.

 

I would trade George Karl for Doherty in a sec, but i said that last year. I wouldn't trade any of our freshmen for Ewing. I think Ewing is going to be ok but he's not any better than any of ours. How many 20 point games has Ewing put up? In case you missed last nights game, it was the freshmen that led the team in the comeback. To bad the seniors are providing such terrible leadership.

He's averaging more points in less minutes than Scott and Manuel.

 

he's also got much better talent around him, sly! Is that debatable? Manuel is a much better athlete, and IMO has more upside. Same with Jawad. I would consider Ewing slightly better than Scott right now.

 

Ewing creates most of his own shots. Plus he has much better A/T ratio which is pretty much an individual statistic at least as far as TO's go.

as for trading coaches I'll keep doh around another year. see how he can do with the capel/lang monkey off his back.

if he's still losing home games to mid majors again next year then they can fire him in mid season. He would deserve it.

 

Manuel has more "ability" than any player on the Carolina roster... I think initially Matt's ego got in the way of pushing that young man forward. On top of that when Manuel did come in... he had no help and he is young.

I became a Heel fan when MJ went there in 1981. (I graduated High school same year, same town) Anyway, I have seen The Dean have similiar talent and still get his 20 wins and NCAA birth.

I am not confident enought to say Matt will never succeed at the Hill, but I will say, I have HUGE doubts..

 

wow blue, once again, you give no props and go by PURE speculation. To say ewing is getting decent numbers due to lack of pressure is pretty weak. I've seen him hit a couple of big shots so far this year. Plus, if you didn't watch the md-duke game, the kid looked pretty athletic to me. Dunked and got fouled by maryland, plus he's quick on offense and defense. He'll make a fine 2 guard next year unless he turns into ricky price. And you really think unc's frosh have pressure??? This season was over LONG ago for the heels. Those kids can go out and play their games now. Except for the fact that teams STILL for some reason put all their attention on lang and capel. Plus, whoever is bringing up the ball on them.

Which brings me to another thing. Me and my co-worker who is a unc fan were having a discussion. (he's not a doh fan.) Of jason capel, kris lang, and ronald curry, which were all mickey d's kids, none have done jack since being at the heel. How in the hell do you turn 3 mickey d's kids into this much crap?? Like we saw on the old board, every team with mickey d's kids have a winning record, EXCEPT for the heels. And curry was the latest in a long line of next michael jordan's to attend unc. I just wanted to know, because so much is said about capel and lang, but curry was never good either. And, just to think, other schools recruited these kids too. So much for that NO talent crap.
