    I'd always been a medium-gauge player 'cause that's what my dad used. I switch to light-gauge a couple of years ago. Much better for me.

    I used light for awhile till I started tuning up for some songs...didn't bode well for the strings :(

    I am all about light now as well. That made all the difference when I first started learning to play or if I have a long layoff and starting back.

    I really don't like working with less than .011 series strings. I enjoy having tone.

    I have never been able to hold it long enough to make it sound right, I just fake it or play another chord. ( or just pretend you don't know the songs that you have to use them in if someone asks you to play one):)
