queer eye for the straight guy

    i caught the last 1/3rd of the jewish guy last week. gina taped last night's episode for me.

    it looked good, from what i saw.

    it's been getting fairly good press, with a couple of exceptions. i think the wahington post wrote something about "five homosexuals are here to save us" -- or somesuch.

    the minister at church on sunday ticked me off. he was preaching out of romans (7-9, i think) and was all into denying everything that's on tv, basically.

    he mentioned queer eye. he said something about how bad society is, putting homosexuals and their lifestyle into our living rooms.

    i'll give him another chance on sunday, or talk to him about it afterward. if he really meant it the way i took it, we're not going bak there.

    it's my brother's church, but gina has gone there about three times.

    i got real emotional at one point and was all ready to go back to church and let god get me out of my funk, then he let in with that crap and reminded me why i don't like organized religion and how church always feels like mass hypnosis.

    so, has anyone see this queer eye show, or what?

    saw it last night. the ratings are so well NBC is airing last nights show on Thursday.

    i have watched all three episodes and just love it. Next week they help a guy get all dolled up so he can propose to his girlfriend. The jewish guy episode was good, but i really liked the one about the guy (turned out to be really attractive) who was going to have his first art opening.
