He's good at covering Pro Wrestling, though.

With Weinke's poise I think he would make an excellant backup behind Peete.

i think we have the beginnings of a QB controversy. i'd be the last to advocate fasani starting but you won't see me weeping if he does. he's making things happen and weinke is not. fasani gives the offense a huge lift with his scramblin and called runs. and with our lack of offense elsewhere that's a huge plus. he also showed he can hang in the pocket an throw the ball. i like how he didn't show frustration when players dropped balls on him (like Peete showed). plus he's lucky as hell.

I agree with all of that HeadCase - - -

Fasani looks like something we haven't seen since B-line showed us flashes of it . . .

    A WINNER

Fasani seems to be the type of personality that attacks when things get hopeless. He plays rather than thinks. He is what makes sports fun.

I went into the preseason a Weinke backer but last night was just too awful to watch. It is amazing to me that Weinke isn't intercepted even more. The way he locks in on one reciever makes him an easy read for defensive backs. I thought a qb at this level was supposed to know where his second and third options were on each play. He looked like Jeff lewis last night.
Likewise, the veteran Peete didn't seem to inspire or settle the troops.
This really hurts. Unless Fasani develops very quickly we're going to have to take a qb first next year instead of adressing our pressing needs at cornerback and wide reciever.
